Thank you very much for your time last week – I very much enjoyed it and took a lot from it. You were right about my vision and that’s something I’m actively training myself to do better at. In fact, I have incorporated into everything: so for example when I’m out running, I’m using it as an opportunity to look as far ahead as possible and to use peripheral vision more (it actually makes boring runs quite fun).
I am also actively putting the other things into practice as well, like the smooth control inputs and positioning for vision: I did an evening at Brands Hatch on Tuesday and that was a lot of fun, with a bit of trail braking thrown in at Druids hairpin which made the car out-corner much smaller cars with ease. Although, I did film myself and was able to spot a few things that you would have told me off for (hah hah hah!)
I still need to get over the chimp brain that is over-slowing me when approaching corners, especially as I now know how the car will behave at the limit and over the limit. The on-road day was also enjoyable and very useful, as well as adding safety and speed at the same time. Overall, the 3 days were well worth it and it was good to get the fundamentals corrected which I will now apply going forwards. Thanks again and best regards!
